Somatic Yoga for a relaxed and "juicy" psoas
Somatic Yoga for a relaxed and "juicy" psoas
No matter what movement you do (walk, run, dance, crawl, jump), your psoas muscle is involved in almost every action and movement. It connects the upper body to lower body, it has fascial connection to your breathing muscle the diaphragm and as you prime mover it is intimately linked to your nervous system.
Do I think it is THE most important muscle in the body (as it is often claimed), no I don't. But it is an interesting, and nuanced structure that influences healthy posture, stability of the lower back and hips, the freedom of our movement, our ability to relax...to name a few things. So why not offer it some love.
