​HIBERNATION SOMATICS  is my wish to stay attuned to the yin energy and honor the season we are in and let our practice be a space that offer nourishment, warmth and stillness for the winter months ahead.
​Winter supports our ability to reflect inward and cultivate awareness - which is the very foundation of a somatic approach.
HIBERNATION SOMATICS - combines slow, pulsing, fluid, inwardly warming and nourishing somatic exercises with creative flow for building strength and yin yoga for rest in a seasonal 4-week series (livestreamed with recordings).

  •  join me for 2 sessions/week: Wednesdays (6pm) for Somatic Strength Flow AND Sunday Slowdown (4pm) for Yin & QiGong (January 4 - 28)
  • or ONLY Sundays 4pm - 5:30pm Yin Yoga & QiGong (from January 4 - 25) Winter Water Yin ​

  • SUNDAY SLOW DOWN (Sundays 4pm - 5:30 pm in January) 
We started with the Sunday Slowdown session in December as a lead up to the holiday season. We often treat the New Year as a fresh start, yet nature is still in its deep winter dormancy — a reminder that we, too, are meant to move slowly and stay rooted in rest. If you’d like to stay connected to the softer, deeper, quieter yin quality of winter and keep honoring the season we’re moving through, you’re welcome to continue Slow-Down Sundays into the new year. Let your Sundays in January remain a place of nourishment, warmth, and quiet grounding as we step into the year of 2026 — an ongoing ritual to support your body, your energy reserves, and your inner steadiness. Through gentle somatic yoga, yin yoga, QiGong and meditation combined with poetry and self-inquiry, we’ll create a place to soften the edges, rest the nervous system, and let the body, heart and mind remember their own pace.
  • SOMATIC STRENGTH & FLOW (Wednesdays 6pm - 7pm in January) 
Can strength be soft? Water element that governs the Winter phase teaches us that it can. The Somatic Strength & Flow is  a one hour session that blends soft, fluid and explorative somatic movements with mobility and strength building exercises. Even though the sessions are slow and gentle, they do build strength and stability along with freedom of movement and fluidity. We will stay in the Winter's slower realm, but build internal warmth, encourage ease of flow through fascia and lymph and enjoy gentle challenges here and there.
