SPRING INTO YIN
Every Wednesday in March
8:00 - 9:30 pm
Buddhistisches Tor Berlin
Grimmstrasse 11 C , 10697 Berlin
After a winter rest, the power of springtime surges through nature - and through us. Spring is an expression of life at its strongest. In spring, those aspects of us that have been dormant over the winter months begin to awaken. Just as nature enters a cycle of renewal, growth and expansion—so does the energy within us.
Join me for a series of 5 classes over the month of March which will support your body to restore its balance, detox the organ systems, nourish the digestive system, release tension and stress from spine and hips, and "deep-clean" the energy channels.
In traditional Chinese medicine, WOOD is the energy of spring and the Wood element represents the liver and the gall bladder. This is the season to plant seeds for a future harvest, to look ahead and make new plans, formulate new ideas, make decisions, and determine our direction for the coming year - and to take action.
New to Yin? No worries! YIN YOGA is suitable for all levels. It uses long-held passive stretches to put pressure on deeper tissues of the body and stimulate energy channels to enhance and strengthen the flow chi (prana) in the body. It can offer quite a challenge - to stay present and allow various sensations to arise, yet the overall effect of the practice is immensely calming, stabilizing and soothing.
