Senior teachers Liina Tael and Mary Beth Volker will lead you on a journey of self discovery
and give you a sound understanding of the basic tenants of a yin yoga practise.

and give you a sound understanding of the basic tenants of a yin yoga practise.
The main focus of the training is to give you:
- a solid foundation and understanding of the anatomy of yin poses via functional approach to yoga (Paul Grilley method) by introducing the 7 archetypical pose families and learning about target areas, you'll understand skeletal restrictions and anatomical aspects of each pose and will learn how to adapt and use variations and props to make the practice suit different bodies
- an understanding of fascia and connective tissues in relation to a yoga practice.
- an introduction to the subtle aspects of the practice: modern meridian theory, five element theory, the organs and energy channels and their connection to yin yoga practice.
- support, guidance and practice in how to hold space, build a sequence and use your voice effective to guide students
The daily program will include two led yin classes, three workshops, and a long break for swimming in the middle.
Loosely the daily schedule will look like this:
Morning self practice
8:30 - 10:30 theory session
10:30 - 12:00 practice
break / lunch
15:00 - 17:00 theory session, asana lab
17:00 - 18:30 practice
Dinner
Evening program (Yoga Nidra, meditation, film, discussion)
This Yin yoga training is suitable for already teaching yogis who want to add Yin Yoga to their offerings or dedicated yogis who want to deepen their understanding of yin yoga.
This is a Yoga Alliance accredited certificate program, and all hours can be used for CEU credits.
It is also an option to come along for a holiday and simply take part in the 2 yin yoga session/day and use the rest of the time to enjoy the seaside and the many attractions of the island.

TRAVEL:
You fly into Zadar, Croatia. From port of Zadar there are ferries to port of Veli Iz on island of Otok Iz twice a day.
ACCMMODATION:
Our location is the stunning island of Iz Otok in Croatia, a short ferry ride from Zadar.
Accommodation is in private rooms, each with a balcony
