YOGA  ONLINE

I've been a traveler, a gypsy, for a number of years. Therefore, my yoga family and community is spread all over the world.  That was my first motivation to start this  Yoga Online project. Another reason is to really encourage you to have your own home practice. A teacher of mine once said, that he will consider his work done, when one day no-one shows up for class - as everyone is practicing at home! I can see his point! Though it is lovely to have a community around you, it could also be useful for you to have this resource to help keep you on track with your daily practice.

Money seems to be the medium through with one can convey value, though I am curious and inspired by the concept and term gift economy , which I learned through  the books, films and writings by Charles Eisenstein  (Sacred Economics). In short, the gift model is based on mutual respect and fairness - you consider what my service is worth to you and choose something fair to gift back. Most likely and probably most practically it can be represented in terms of money, but doesn't have to be.  Whether the exchange is money or something else, the bottom line is, that it is TRUST that becomes the medium of exchange -  helping each other becomes the purpose, not profit or return on investment.  I have faith in people to be honest, fair, generous and supportive. The purpose of the online project is to serve my online and offline community and share what I know and love.
